Brantford Chiropractors FAQ

Like other Brantford chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers…

Can I see a chiropractor & get adjusted when I am pregnant?

Happy childAbsolutely! Experts recommend chiropractic care during pregnancy to assure a safe and easier delivery. Our Brantford chiropractors have special training in chiropractic care for pregnant women. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe, gentle, and effective in restoring optimal health for mother and baby.

How old should a child be before starting chiropractic care?

The younger the better! We recommend getting your baby checked immediately after birth to balance out any stress and strain from the birth process. Even a normal vaginal birth can put abnormal pressure on the baby. A baby should especially be checked if there has been any intervention – epidural, vacuum, forceps, c-section. A chiropractic adjustment for a baby is very, very gentle. We also recommend children be checked along the developmental milestones – at birth, rolling over, sitting, crawling, standing, walking; as well as after any bumps, falls, or traumas.

Do you have a family plan?

Yes! As Brantford chiropractors we want to make chiropractic care easy and affordable for the whole family. Talk to one of our chiropractic assistants for details.

Once I start chiropractic care, do I have to go forever?

This is a myth. You do not HAVE to go forever, but people CHOOSE to incorporate chiropractic care as part of their wellness lifestyle. They are not “addicted” to chiropractic care as we’ve heard some people comment. They merely know what good health is and what it feels like for the body to be well. Similar to going to the gym or eating well to stay healthy, or going to the dentist for regular check-ups, chiropractic check-ups and care ensures the body is adapting and functioning well to our high stress lifestyle.

How much will it cost?

The recommended schedule of care is determined on a case by case basis. It is determined by how long the problems have been there, how severe the problem is, how much stress is in the person’s life (physical, chemical, & emotional stress). It is important to follow the recommendations of the Doctor to get optimal results. Remember, healing takes time. The exact cost of your customized care plan will be explained on your second visit.
